(Don’t) Gimme That Ol’ Time Religion
My friend Jim, of The Aerie has a great post up about his recent visit to a metro-DC church, during which he handled himself a lot better than I probably would have.
It was interesting to me because it underscored so many of the reasons why I became disillusioned with the christian faith I was raised with and went seeking another approach to the world and it’s people, and why I’m wary of organized religion to this day.
I read, meditate and practice on my own, but I still prefer not to align myself with any specific organized religious body.
