Subway Subtext

VIaDCSOB.

I guess it’s a good thing I took the bus to work, given the mess that the metro apparently was today.

Metrorail service is seriously disrupted this morning because of a police investigation near the tracks in northeast Washington.

The Orange line has no service between Eastern Market and Minnesota avenue. The Blue Line is closed between Eastern Market and Benning Road.

Like DCSOB, I can’t help thinking there’s more to this than we’re being told. Perhaps I’m a little paranoid. But then again, I live in a city that has weathered, terrorist attacks, anthrax, hurricanes and floods, just in the last two years. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds.

You forgot the President’s Weekend blizzard and that Britney Spears/NFL thing on the Mall in that list of disasters… (Cool blog, BTW)
