Nobody in or outside the schools takes bullying seriously until somebody's standing in the hallway with a gun, and then everybody's wondering "what's going on! how could this happen?!" Not to excuse what the boys did at Columbine, I even befriended a victim, but I've often found myself sympathizing with the shooters. I wonder how many times I pictured myself doing the same thing. I saw that show too. I was going to write something about my experience, but never got around to it. Your post inspired me. I remember Columbine, too. I remember watching the newscasts and thinking, "I bet I know why they did it." I found myself sympathizing with the shooters, because I wanted to do the same thing.
