Friday Five, From the Vaults

The Folks at the Friday Five are a bit busy this month, and suggested that interested parties do a five from the archives. So I reached back into April of last year for this one.

1. Who is your favorite celebrity?

That’s a hard one. I suppose if I had to pick one absolute favorite, it’d be Madonna. Of course, in the male category, there are several contenders.

2. Who is your least favorite?

Either Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter.

3. Have you ever met or seen any celebrities in real life?

I’ve met Butterfly McQueen (Prissy from Gone With the Wind), Maya Angelou, Ellen Degeneres, and a few others.

4. Would you want to be famous? Why or why not?

Gotta be careful with this one. After all, one can be famous for a number of things, some not so nice. One can also be famous but lack some of the nicer trappings of fame. So, if I were to answer this one, I’d say I’d like to be rich and famous, preferably for some creative or artistic ability. I suppose there might come a time when I get sick of it and want out of the limelight. But, again, that might depend on the kind of celebrity.

5. If you had to trade places with a celebrity for a day, who would you choose and why?

Damn. That’s a difficult one too. Would it be too, too typical if my choices were all women? Off the top of my head, the first three who come to mind are Madonna, Oprah, and Tina Turner (during the good years, not the Ike years). When it comes to male celebrities I don’t know who I’d want to be for a day, but there are some I’d be with for a day.

One Response to Friday Five, From the Vaults

  1. Tim Who? says:

    1. Carol Burnett. Everybody loves her and she has a great sense of humor.

2.Rush Limbaugh. I cannot listen to this man for even 10 seconds. I almost said Bush for exactly the same reason.

    3. Yes! I was lucky enough to spend the evening with Tom Selleck in Hawaii. He had dinner and drinks with my friends and I.
And three days with Ted Danson.(I was his cook)

Both men are exactly what you see on TV or in the movies. Neither can act, but they play themselves very, very well.

    4. No…Rich yes but I want my privacy and I would gladly give up riches to keep it.

    5. President Bush. This Q. is unclear to me. Would I be Bush or have his job for a day?

If I was Bush I would hold a press conference and admit I was on drugs and had homosexual tendencies. The right would bail and I would lose the election.
If I had his job for a day I would be busy issuing exec. orders canceling everything Bush has done so far.
