The Day the Music (Temporarily?) Died

It came as a bit of a shock. Yesterday afternoon, I was sitting at my desk listening to my latest music purchase when my Nomad Zen Xtra suddenly went silent. I looked at the display and it read “Low Battery.”

No problem, I thought. I’d just take it home and charge it. However, after charging all night it still read “Low Battery” when I turned it on. So, no morning tunage for my commute. This constitutes the first problem I’ve had with it since buying it, but one that may be easily solved. One of the reasons I bought it was because the battery is intended by the manufacturer to be replaceable by the user. So I went online and ordered a new battery, which should be here before the end of the week.

I hope that’s the only problem. I’m a little concerned that the battery ran out in less than a year, but I do use it every day, so maybe it’s par for the course.

If the battery fix doesn’t work, they maybe it’s time for me to shop for a new one.
