Bill makes a good point here.
George W. Bush recenty said,
Bush compared Iraqi insurgents with Osama bin Laden and the Taliban in Afghanistan.
“These are people who want to try to impose their will on people,” the president said. “These are people just like the Taliban, just like Osama bin Laden who have this dim vision of the world that says: if you do not agree with us, then you’re of no account. And they’re trying to stop people from voting.”
How is this different from our (Bush’s) “You’re either with us or against us” approach to the rest of the world? Naturally, the irony (and hypocrisy) of that statement was lost on Bush and most of his supporters.
And don’t even get me started on that bit about “trying to stop people from voting.”
