Crisis? What Crisis?
I’ll be honest. The idea of retiring one day, and having enough money to retire, scares me. Just about anything dealing with economics scares me. Sure, I have a 401K to which I and my employer contribute. Actually, I have one for the current job and a couple from previous jobs, which I need to roll over into the new one. And, though I know it probably won’t be enough to take care of my needs, it’s always been somewhat comforting to know that Social Security would be available to help.
Then came George W. Bush, with a plan that sounds like the first step in doing away with Social Security entirely.
A group of bloggers have started There Is No Crisis to provide people with basic information on Social Security, and a means of takign part in the current debate. I’ve joined them, put up the blog ad, and added them to my links.
