Different Pictures

You might have noticed that the picture in the masthead of this blog has changed. (If not, refresh your browser, or try shift+refresh.) Thanks to a post at Photo Matt, I discovered this hot little tool for WordPress blogs that use the Kubrick (or, in WordPress 1.5, the default) template.

Basically, you type in a few keywords, and it searches flickr for photos that use those words as tag and that have Creative Commons licenses. Then you look through the pictures, select the one you want, crop it approximately, and the tool does the rest for you. Save the pic to disk, and then upload it to the images file in your default themes directory, to replace “kubrickheader.jpg.” And your done.

The masthead of this blog will probably change more often as I experiment with this tool and look for different photos.
