Further Renovations

    It’s a pretty big change. For the record, though, I’m not bald now. I’m now sportingn a close-cropped haircut. Basically, since I had an inch of new growth, I didn’t have to shave my head. I clipped off the locs with a pair of scissors, and then used clippers to get it down to an even length of about 1/8″. Afterwards I went to a barber just to get my work cleaned up a bit.

    I’d been considering it for a few weeks. The reasons were myriad. At this point in my life, I have to many things going on that finding the time to go to the hairdresser was getting more difficult, and I didn’t want to take the 3+ hours it could usually take to do it myself. I wanted something low maintenance. So, yesterday, I took the plunge.

    It’s definitely different. What I’ve noticed most when I go outside is the wind on my scalp. The reactions thus far, from the hubby, the kid, and co-workers have all been positive.

    What a huge change! Yes, pics!

    I always remember in Agnes of God when they cut all their hair off when they move from novitiate to nun.
