Audio for April
It’s that time again. My new years resolution to expand my musical horizons has been fairly succesful, with recommendations from all over. This morning I created an on-the-fly playist of my new music purchase thus far this year, featuring Tortured Soul, Zap Mama, Aluminum Group, and Deep Thinkers. Of these, I’ve found that Tortured Soul and Aluminum group are the ones that stick in my head. I find myself humming different snatches of their songs at various times. I like Zap Mama when I listen to it, but it seem more atmospheric and I don’t focus as much on the lyrics. Deep Thinkers I’ve listened to a few times, and I like them well enough, but they haven’t made it into heavy rotation on the iPod yet.
So, now it’s time to select some new music for April, and once again I’m open to suggestions. I like a fairly wide range of music, so suggest something in the comments and I’ll pick something and report back on it here.
As always, I’m intersted in seeing what comes in.

I kind of remember telling you about Zero 7 before. If not I think you would like them a lot.
A few more suggestions…

I second Royksopp, if you’re in the mood for more atmospheric stuff. If it’s on ITunes, try the High Llamas. Listen to “Harpers Romo”, “Triads”, and “Cut the Dummy Loose” from their cd, Snowbug.
Which songs do you hum by AG? It’s cool to know that you dig ‘em now, too.
“Tiny Decision”, “Pop”, and “Sugar&Promises” are my main faves from them, though they’ve plenty of songs I dig.

Hmmm. I think definitely “Tiny Decision” and “Pop” make my list. Those are the ones that I find myself humming most from Happyness. “Pop” sounds like a drug intervention set to music.

It’s coming down to a choice between Kenna and Royskopp. I’m wondering if this is going to be another two-for-one.
