Just a Question

The response to the previous post over on Kos has been surprising, overwhelming and varied. One of the commenters paraphrased Kerry as follows.

but right here, John Kerry is saying:

Hey kids, the seats in the back of the bus are just as comfortable.

Are they? And should we go happily to the back of the bus and wait, hoping that we won’t get thrown under it along the way? Or are we supposed to volunteer for that too, and accept it quietly?

Honestly, the way things are looking right now, I’m beginning to wonder why I should bother supporting any party or any candidate in 2008. I mean, the issues that are important to me are pretty much dead last any major candidate’s list of priorities or absent altogether. So why bother? For the good of the country? Will that comfort me on my way down the river?

Pack a paddle, Terrence… (or a “shovel” may be a more appropriate tool. There is a lot of “sh*t” to be removed on the way down the river.)

It’s only too bad they don’t make ‘amphibious’ bulldozers with high tech navigation systems to keep us on the path in those whirlpools and rapids.

Is there such a thing as a ‘River Tsunami’?

    Peace,

I’m honestly starting to think about sitting 2008 out, completely.
