Can ya tell I’m feeling better? 
A little solid food stays down (Ritz crackers and rice cakes) and I’m able to sit upright long enough to do a bit of posting.
This news story, about a whiny little email from outed, anti-gay Spokane Mayor James West is too good to let pass.
Mayor James West, the subject of an FBI probe into accusations he offered municipal jobs to men he met in gay online chat rooms, is complaining he is the victim of a “brutal outing.”
In an e-mail sent to nearly 140 people affiliated with a race relations task force, West wrote that the group is responsible for making Spokane a community where “harassment, intimidation, discrimination” are unacceptable.
“Does that include people who have an internal struggle with who they are sexually and are searching for a way to come out … ?” wrote West, who is co-chairman of the task force. “Do others who desire to be out but are having similar struggles now live in greater fear because of a brutal outing?”
A copy of the e-mail was obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday.
This, from a man who made his political career on demonizing and promoting discrimination against gays and lesbian in his state—from a man who made “harassment, intimidation, and discrimination” against other gay people a centerpiece of his political career—just overloaded my Bullshit Meter. Now I’m gonna hafta go out and get a new one.
James, I’m going to save my sympathies for people who are truly struggling, without actively doing harm to others in the process. You desired to be out? Puh-leez. If you hadn’t been caught, you’d have happily continued having your man-cake and eating it too, all the while fulminating against those who dare to live their lives with a bit more honesty and dignity.
You are not a victim here, James. You have, however, left plenty of victims in your wake. What you are is a sick, pathetic little man who’s not the least bit sorry about what he did, but is terribly sorry he got caught. What’s happening now isn’t any more than what you have coming to ya.

As a fair dinkum Aussie, I wouldn’t use such nice words where a decent “Fuck” “Scumbag” would do. As an Arab, I would curse him with the fleas of a 1000 camels, and as an anti-christian, I would damn him to hell and back, and even then it would be an adjectival [if there is such a word] understatement of “people”, “human beings”, “things”, “it”? like your James…
