Just a quick update. Majikthise has a post up about Zach’s extended-by-six-weeks stay at Refuge. I haven’t heard anything else from Wendy — Zach’s best freind — since the one confirming his six week extension.
If you’re wondering what to do now, a group called Free Zach has formed on MySpace, and has posted addresses of individuals and entities you can contact, who might be able to wield some influence on Zach’s case.
Media attention continues to grow regarding Zach’s internment. I’ll have more on that coming up a bit later this week, as I’m collaborating with a reporter on a short podcast piece about Zach’s story, and how it’s played out on the web.

I am a writer for a gay magazine on the West Coast of Florida (Tampa/Sarasota). I am very concerned about Zach’s safety and well-being, as are many others. I would also like to do a story on his experiences if he is willing to talk to me. But even if he is not, please keep me apprised of his condition. I have a nephew who may turn out to be gay (I have a feeling about him) and I do not want him tortured like this young man. You can email me any time.
