Just a quick update on how how Zach’s story continues to spread. Earlier this week, I sent a tip to AlterNet’s blog, Peek, and it resulted in a post on their blog. Also AlterNet’s Mubarik Dahir wrote a longer article about Zach’s story.
Along with a bunch of other people, this week I contributed to a podcast news story on Zach’s plight, which should be posted later this week at planet PlanetOut’s web radio program This Way Out.
The Queer Action Coalition, which formed as a response to Zach’s plight, has a new website. However, they’re also still posting to the old website, and are currently accepting donations to offset the cost of running the organization.
No further updates on Zach, unfortunately. Given the limited contact he’s allowed with the world outside Refuge, it’s hard to get an idea of how he’s doing or just when he’s going to be released. I guess that’s part of the difficulty in deciding just what can and should be done now by those whose concerned has been raised by Zach’s story.
Further updates as events warrant.
