Changes Made

So, you’ll probably notice some changes have been made.

First, the new themes. It took some time but over the past week I managed to find a couple of themes that worked well together. In fact, they’re variations on the same theme. I found the Relaxation theme and like the colors and the clean design. I also liked the small header image. I tweaked it a bit to suite my purposes, and decided to use it.

Then I found a 3-column version of Relaxation, and knew that I wanted to use it. Once again, some tweaking of the CSS, and using PhotoShop to change the header graphic, and I had what I wanted. (I cheated. I gave up trying to deal with WordPress code and just put the title of the blog in the header using Photoshop). In fact, I liked it so much I made it my default theme. If you prefer a small graphic, you can switch to the Relaxation theme usnig the theme switcher.

The image. In my rummaging across photo sites, I did a search for “lotus” one day, and came across this (royalty free) picture of lotus emerging from the water. I saved the image, and found myself coming back to that image and wanting to use it.

So, that’s the way things are going to stay for a while.

I got so many messages frmo people who liked the China Red theme that I decided to leave it intact. And I wasn’t quite ready to let go of Plain Vanilla — the old default theme — so I decided to keep it. I did, however, get rid of the WordPress Default and WordPress Classic themes, after backing them up.

So, that’s it. Send feedback my way if ya got any.

Do what ever you like but just my .02
The dark blue now on the China red is fuzzy, hard to read and hurts these tired old eyes.

ok, my new favorite is relaxation 3 column with the lotus. Easier to read, looks nice. I still like china-red (don’t notice anything different), but it’s taking a back seat to r-3-lotus now :)

Beautiful new design. I liked the china-red but now that I see this, it is much easier to read, and I love the lotus picture.
