Not an actual homo, but a homo sausage. Wait. That still doesn’t sound right. When I saw this I just knew I had to do it for a lunchtime post.
Lost in translation, or intentionally provocative? There’s got to be a good story behind the name “Homo Sausage.” If you’re wondering, like I did, if “homo” has the same meaning in Japanese… it does.
Here’s the company website, which I can’t read, but Google can translate. There’s even video. Apparently the sausage comes in two varieties: ham and fish. They don’t have a veggie version, which is fine by me because the sight of the greyish colored sausage makes me shudder.
Ya gotta wonder, though, how this product would do if it were ever sold statside, under the same name. Too bad it’ll probably never happen.
