On the Tube
Now that it’s been confirmed, I guess I can share this. I’m going to be making my first blogging-related television appearance. No, it’s not on CNN or anything like that. (One step at a time, folks.)
Thanks to a reference from a friend, I’ll be appearing on a show called Changing Media, produced by University of Maryland TV. It’s a new show on UMTV, so it doesn’t have a website yet. I’ll be on to talk about blogging and free speech, particularly on the subject of blogging in the workplace, and probably about whatever other topics come up. I’ll be appearing with Andrew Nachison of the Media Center.
I have to admit, I’m kind of excited. They’re sending a car to pick me up, and evidently I have to get their in time to "do make-up." I have to admit that I’m worried about sounding like I know what I’m talking about. So I’m reviewing old posts and internet/blogging studies. (Any and all pointers from old hands at the television thing are immensely appreciated.)
Taping is on Monday. I have no idea when the show airs, and when it does you’ll have to be in Maryland or the metro-D.C. area to see it, unless it’s available online. Anyway, that’s the story on my first TV gig.

How exciting! I hope they post it on the web (when they set up their site, if they decide to) so I can see it.
Next stop: Hollywood.

Wow! You going to be, like, famous! You’ll have to let me know when it airs. I’d love to see it.
