Weird Moments in Blogging
So, yesterday I was sitting in a client meeting along with with a few of my coworkerw. We went around the table and introduced ourselves.
I simply introduced myself as “Terrance, from EchoDitto.” But then our CEO added “Terrance’s blog is The Republic of T.”
Suddenly, three people turned to me with surprised looks on their faces and said, “That’s you?!”
That’s never happened to me before; people recognizing me by my blog, that is.

Having kept my blog confidential from my co-workers, I would be mortified if that happened to me.

I recognized a fellow blogger, E-Brechi, while out in DC a few weeks ago. It’s a weird feeling knowing someone but not knowing them in person!
Your situation is different- they know you in person and on your blog but never put it together.
Weird…but cool!

Something like that happened to me. I went in for a job interview about three years back; the interviewer recognized my name because he had my book (see website).
I didn’t get the job, however…

Actually, a similar experience happened to me. I have a xanga account and there is a blogring for my college. There is a girl that I’ve known for three years because we lived on the same hall. We’ve been subscribed to each other’s blogs for about a year. A couple of weeks ago, she walked into my bedroom, saw the picture on my desktop, and said “hey, that’s you!” We had a good laugh over it and I posted about it later here. (sorry, i couldn’t seem to make a link). http://www.xanga.com/item.aspx?user=galatea101&tab=weblogs&uid=346337552“
