Link Popularity Tool
Interseting. I found this Link Popularity Tool on LinkFilter, and I thought I’d check the results for this blog. This is what the site itself had to say about link popularity.
This is an all in one tool to check the number of pages that link to you in AlltheWeb, AltaVista, Google, HotBot, MSN Search, and Yahoo!, as well as check for your site’s presence in DMOZ and Zeal.
A site that has a Link Popularity Score of 1,000-5,000 is considered average. A site with a Link Popularity Score of 20,000 is considered popular. Sites with a Link Popularity Score above 100,000 are Internet “Icons”.

For republicoft.com:
I don’t know about “internet icon” status — I think there are a lot more people who’d qualify for that before me — but the results above are not bad for a blog that’s only been around for two years, and an URL that isn’t even a year old yet.

Having referenced your blog several times with its link proudly displayed in the sidebar of my own, you know I knew it all along T., you’re an icon, indeed. Congratulations not only to you but to the thousands of your regular (and new found) readers whom have had and will have the intelligence to click into your conscientious and well informed posts. [BTW, hope you have as great a success with Parker’s potty training;-}]
Write on my favourite icon of blogsphere!
