Just a quick note to say that I’m making some changes to the blog, in order to decrease the demands it makes on the server, and the load time that you see on your end. I’ve disabled the theme switcher, because it conflicts with some of these changes. There may be some further changes as well.
So, if you show up here and things look a little odd, just know that there’s some work going on behind that scenes that might be the cause of it. With any luck, it’ll all work out.
Just a quick comment — you also appear to have changed your feed from a full text to summary. I imagine this isn’t that much of a bandwidth saving, but it does reduce the chances that those reading in feeds will actually read your content.
Unless it’s absolutely killing you, please put it back as it was!
Actually, that change was an experiment to see if more people would actually come to the blog to read content. I haven’t noticed if it’s made a difference yet, but then it hasn’t been that long since I changed it.
