Retraction

Remember when I said that Judy Miller might be the first person to lose their job in the Plame outing scandal? (Actually it turned out to be Scooter Libby, who resigned.) I take it back. Now it appears Judy isn’t going anywhere.

Former jailed journalist Judith Miller is expected to be back at her desk at The New York Times on Monday morning. Instead of negotiating a severance package, latest word is that she and the NYT are negotiating a non-antagonistic re-entry into the newsroom.

Sometimes I have to work really hard to convince myself that there is justice in the world. This is one of them. I wonder who else will emerge virtually unscathed and with a book deal in the works.
