Turkey Shot

I’m not even going to ask for captions on this Yahoo photo from the recent protests in Crawford, TX. The caption supplied by Yahoo pretty much says it all.

Michael Rowe, 12, of Ft. Hood, Texas, takes part in a rally in support of President Bush near the President’s ranch on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 in Crawford, Texas. The sign depicts President Bush and anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan. Three months after Sheehan, the mother of a fallen soldier, led a 26-day anti-war vigil near President Bush’s ranch, peace activists and Bush supporters converged again Saturday for dueling rallies. It’s a minor hit with the Freepi. And, not surprisingly, the creator of the image is one of them. You can get a better look at the image itself here, and the “Butcher’s Commentary” too. I’ve considered firing up Photoshop, creating a “remix” of the image, an posting it. But I’d most likely end up hearing a knock at the door. After all, it’s happened before. (And there’s more stories at The Progressive’s McCartyhism Watch files.)
