I’ve been wanting to change the look of things here for a while, and now that the server switch is complete and I won’t have to move again for a while (I hope), I thought I’d try a new theme.
I’ve tweaked it a bit, and if you’ve been visiting here for a while you might recognize the header image from a previous incarnation of the blog. It’s a mandala. I decided to revive it, and opted for the red background color to go with it. The del.icio.us plugin and the Flickr plugin have returned after some post-switch tweaking.
If you’re wondering where to click to comment, the numbers next to the post titles show the number of comments, and clicking on them takes you to the comment form for the post. The archives have moved to a separate page. I’ve been wanting to ad asides to the blog for a while now, to do short kind of one-off posts that don’t necessarily need to be in the main content section. You’ll find them on the sidebar.

Ha. I just underwent a complete design change myself. I haven’t been this happy with the look of my site in a long time. Its good to stir things up every now and again.

it’s a bit christmas-y, T… did oreilly’s rhetoric make you cave?
I like the mandala image a lot. It’s a nice visual to go along with your "Black. Gay. Father…" tagline. I’m not so sure about the matching red page background or the aqua background either. Your last design had a nice balance of striking elements and softer ones that I thought set the tone for your site well. All in all, still very nice, but I might try to balance it out a bit more.
Well, now I’ve discovered that the previous theme has been updated. I’ll probably download it and tweak it a bit to see what can do as far as customizing it. After trying out this theme, I’ve found I like the three column layout as it give me more options for putting stuff on the sidebar.
