And Honor to be Nominated, Too

I’ve been getting hits from Best Gay Blogs for a while now, and have been checking them out. (They’re now added to the “Blogs Linking Here” list.) This morning I got an email from them letting me know that this blog has been nominated for their Best Gay Blogo Awards.

If you visit the link to their survey, you’ll find this blog listed under question #3. My votes (I only voted in categories for which I was familiar with some of the nominated blogs) for some of the other categories are:

Best Reviewed Blog: Not That Boy

Best Popular Gay Blog: Rod 2.0

Best International Gay Blog: Oh La Paris

I gotta also give shout outs to some of my favorite bloggers who were also nominated (in the same category that I was): Aaron, Andy, Karsh, Chris (also nominated for a Weblogs award), Margaret Cho, Justin, and Sam. It’s great to be in such good company as a nominee, but with so many favorites of mine in the running — any of whom I’d be happy to see win — I’m not going to solicit votes for this blog. 🙂 Just go vote for the blogs you like.

Wampum has announced the opening of nominations for the Koufax blog awards. (I got a nomination for Best New Blog back in 2003, when I started this blog.)

The Koufax Awards are named for Sandy Koufax, one of the greatest left handed pitchers of all time. They are intended to honor the best blogs and bloggers of the left. At the core, the Koufax Awards are meant to be an opportunity to say nice things about your favorite bloggers and to provide a bit of recognition for the folks who provide us with daily information, insight, and entertainment. The awards are supposed to be fun for us and fun for you.

Go forth and nominate as your conscience dictates.
