You will likely find that the revising process is when the real writing takes place. Don't be discouraged by what you wrote in the heat of the moment. (I get physically ill sometimes when I read the crap I've written.) As a megaselling author reminds new writers, I can fix a bad page, I can't fix a blank page.

Have you read any writing books by Sol Stein? I highly recommend him. I read On Writing three times. The first time I didn't know enough to understand what I didn't know, the second I understood more but couldn't figure out how to apply it, and the third time, several years later, I finally got it.

I am looking forward to next year when I can take part. I heard of this at the end of the month on the radio. They played soem of the recordings that came out of the Make an Album month - which was rather interesting. I am rather keen on the idea - mainly to see what I can produce - I'm likely to try to do it once or twice before hand to get a feel for it - just not sure I can wait nearly a year to try it.

I hope you do let it see light - and public. I enjoy reading your blog - I would be keen on seeing what fiction is in you.
