Some may have noticed a slow-down in blogging here over the last few days. There are a few reasons for it, but the main one is that my mind has been on other things lately.
A while back I wrote about the importance of getting treatment for reflux, because it can lead to cancer as it did in my family. Last week brought news that my dad’s cancer has spread and is terminal. That’s all we know for the moment, except that treatment is not possible given his condition and thus the remaining option is hospice. We are awaiting news on how much time we have, and I will be going home to spend some time with my family in the next couple of weeks.
You can imagine as I’m still absorbing this news, there are days when I feel like blogging and days when I just don’t. On the days when I do, I’ll be here. On the days when I don’t, I trust people will understand.
In the meantime, I’ll just ask folks to hold a positive thought for my Dad and for the rest of the family.
(Note: I closed comments on this post because I just wanted to share the news. As usual, I can always be reached via the contact page.)
