Very well put, T., thank you. Everyone, straight or gay making the choice to go along with this stunt is helping to prop up a system of hatred which does not comport with the teachings of Christ. I love your phrase and will think of it when I find myself making the comfortable choice instead of the right one.

This isn’t the first time he’s done this. Many moons ago, I attended that church, this was before I came out. He started making weird gestures and switching his hips, trying to reinforce some stereotypes about gay people. I walked out on that sermon and never came back.

wow this was an interesting post. As a Christian I find this very disturbing that a preacher would do this. The “this” I am referring to is using words like faggot, sissy, etc. I wish Christians would truly follow Jesus and show love to everybody. Not just people who think like you or act like you.

Thanks for being upfront about your sexuality. I am getting so tired of the brothas remaining in the closet. If you are gay then be gay.
