Maybe I’m a hardass, but it doesn’t mean much to me that a criminal will be "tormented for the rest of his life" by his crimes (or at least by the fact that he got caught). He can just endure that same torment in a cell.

Media Matters notes that Oliver North asked why Dean hadn’t denounced anti-gay protesters at soldiers’ funerals, and implied that the protesters — Fred Phelps and family — may be “liberals” or Democratic supporters. Ollie missed the point. Maybe the reason Dean hasn’t denounced them is because he wants their votes.

Hmmm. I guess I’d better pick up the place a bit now that Wonkette knows where I live.

Man, you just know someone’s gonna find a way to blame Prius owners for this.

Are the rumors killing you as much as they’re killing me? The latest is that in the pas week Rove told Bush and Bolton he will be indicted and will resign once Fitzgerald announces the charges.

While Dean, henceforth known as "the ex", falls back on the lame old excuse of "he didn’t really mean anything to me", his new boyfriend is sounding crazier by the day. Oh well. I hope they’re happy together.

According to a new Harris poll, Dubya’s approval ratings are now in the 20s. 29%, to be exact. The only thing that could make this better would be a Rove indictment before COB tomorrow. Pardon me while I bask in the schadenfreude.

Via Chris, I’m reminded that today is baby Buddha’s birthday celebration, known as Vesak. Had I remembered, I might have taken the day off as a religious holiday.
